The first mention of Przerzeczyn-Zdrój comes from 1264, when it was officially called Przyrzyce. During the German colonization, the name Bad Dirsdorf was used (until the end of the 19th century: Diersdorf), and it was used until 1945. After World War II the name that has been used until today, ie Przerzeczyn-Zdrój, came into force.
The year 1802 is assumed to be the beginning of the spa's activity, and the town has had the status of a health resort continuously since 1802.
The village of Przerzeczyn-Zdrój is a former multi-road village. There are roads of various categories: national road, provincial road and local roads. The town is divided into a clearly spa part, with sanatorium facilities offering accommodation for patients as well as medical treatments, and a residential part, dominated by low, single-family buildings, as well as former off-premises buildings. The spa part is located outside the residential area, on the edge of the village, next to green areas. This is conducive to the conditions for rehabilitation and health renewal.
The history of Przerzeczyn-Zdrój health resort dates back to 1802, when Count von Pfeil - the ancestral owner of the Przerzeczyn lands, built a spring of sulphate water with the intention of using it for healing purposes. Therapeutic baths were used on a small scale. However, the source information
and his powers spread quickly and widely. More and more guests came to the town. This fact contributed to the establishment of the Spa House in 1824. In 1840, the spa facility was modernized and enlarged, providing accommodation for guests. At that time, the park began to be arranged, giving the town a resort-like character. In 1953 it was established State Enterprise "Uzdrowisko Przerzeczyn".
