"Christian Gregor was born on January 1, 1723 in Przerzeczyn-Zdrój as a peasant child of Georg and Maria Gregor. His life was not easy from the beginning - his father died 14 days before his birth, and his mother when he was 7 years old. Thanks to the care that the community of Przerzeczyn surrounded him with, especially the von Pfeil family, he was able to educate himself and turn out to be a talented musician and composer.
On the way of life he was a teacher, accountant, librarian, organist, secretary, pastor and finally … a bishop in the Church of the Moravian Brothers. He also traveled several years with diplomatic missions to the United States, Lithuania and Russia. And he always carried in his heart the memory of the Przerzeczyn - Zdrój homeland.
